		<description>I have the first protrait Ernie painted in 1956.  The subject is my father Earl Brinn.  Ernie chose him for the character lines on his face.  Of note Ernie could not afford a canvas at the time so used a plywood grease board which had been under the grill at my Aunt Mae&#039;s Diner in Craigleath ON. 
Ernie scrubbed the board, painted my father&#039;s portrait on it, had it framed and entered it in an Art competition in Toronto ON.
Later he gave my father the painting as a model fee.</description>
